Three new foods were added to the food chart today, and surprisingly, they are decent! This will add a few higher tier options to add to food mixes.
The brand was discovered on Amazon, but after doing some digging, I believe it is an overseas brand. One discrepancy I found was that the ingredients listed on the Farmina website were different than those listed on Chewy.com/ Amazon.com
The foods were scored using the ingredients listed on Chewy/ Amazon. They may be different because they are produced in different areas, or since they are being sold in a different country.
First up is Farmina Naturals Boar. This food scored in at a solid 47 points, landing it in the upper blue tier. Pea fiber is the 9th ingredient, so some may choose to avoid, though the actual content is likely quite low.
Second is Farmina Naturals Chicken. This food also scored 47 points, giving a second high-blue option to mix in.
Again, pea fiber is the 9th ingredient.
The last food that was added was Farmina Naturals Lamb. This food scored slightly lower, due to its lower protein content (36% versus 44% in the Boar and Chicken).
The lamb version scored 41.5, landing it in the lower blue tier. This food also contains peas as the 9th ingredient.
Overall, I'm quite pleased to have 3 blue tier foods to add to the chart! It gets tiring adding new foods, and they all score in the orange or red. I had hoped to try the boar formula out, but unfortunately, I cannot get it shipped to me out here in Alaska.
If you end up trying this food, let me know how you like it!
