Quick update to the food chart!
A Canadian brand food was recently brought to my attention: Nutrience. I had a look on their website and the brand seems available primarily in Canada. I have not seen it in the US yet, nor is it available on US Amazon.com
Petsmart Canada seems to be carrying it, hopefully it'll eventually make its way into US stores
Happily, both the grain free version and the Sub-Zero freeze dried version rank decently.
The Grain Free Turkey for Cats ranked in at a modest 42.08, placing it in the lower blue tier. The product label states it is 80% 20% vegetables (comparable to Orijen!), so I would not hesitate recommending this food!
The second food is Nutrience Subzero Freeze Dried Cat food. I used the Fraser Valley (chicken/turkey) formula for the chart. This is a kibble with freeze dried raw pieces, similar to Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Boost. This food scored 52.62 points, placing it in the upper green tier.
Keep an eye out for this brand!
